2022 Addiction Medicine Essentials, October 21-22, 2022

The planned agenda provides an opportunity for clinicians from a wide range of specialties and practice settings to build knowledge and skills around substance use disorders. Plenary sessions are relevant to all providers and both introductory level workshops for those new to addiction medicine and advanced content for experienced addiction medicine clinicians will be offered. The event is hosted by the Governor’s Institute, NC Division of Mental Health, Developmental Disabilities and Substance Abuse Services, NC Division of Public Health, Substance Abuse and Mental Health Services Administration (SAMHSA), and the NC Society of Addiction Medicine. Last year, the virtual event attracted approximately 150 addiction medicine specialists, primary care physicians, psychiatrists, nurse practitioners, physician assistants, behavioral healthcare providers and medical students from NC, TN, SC and across the US.
